HISTORY

Established 1890

1890    Partners Floyd & McNaught traded from Norfolk Street Manchester
           Succeeded by Mr Hampson. Established strong trading links with Northern Ireland.

1950    Mr Cyril Roylance de la Wyche succeeded to the practice and took on
           Mr Thomas Arthur Baker. Firm adopted the name De La Wyche Baker.

1960s   Mr Baker left and succeeded by Mr Raymond Jones. Trading from
           Spring Gardens in Manchester.

1980    Practice divided. Mr de la Wyche retained own clients and Mr Jones
           moved remainder of practice to Marple near Stockport.

1981   Kevin McCay appointed to firm and became partner in 1982. Firm had clients in
           Northern Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France and Spain.

1986   Michael Miley joined practice and became partner in 1987.
          Mr Raymond Jones retired in 1989

1992   Firm moved to larger premises in Woodley and concentrated on the UK
           owner-managed business sector.

2001   Merged with Jackson Sharpe practice from Bollington. Chris Jackson became a partner.
           Firm moved to larger premises in central Stockport.

2003   Joined partnership with Bennett Verby LLP, expanded services and
           moved to larger modernised premises in St Petersgate Stockport.
